'Mad oh' is a spoken word, phrase, or sound that expresses sudden or strong feeling. The phrase "Mad oh” has been trending in the streets of Lagos and Port Harcourt.
David Graham Douglas, a popular Port Harcourt OAP, on an interview with Rhythm 93.7 FM, PH, denied claims made on social media depicting that 'Mad oh' originated from Lagos.

He said:
"Mad oh actually originated from Port Harcourt not really from Lagos, YES! That's my beff because there is a picture trending online talking about how MAD originated from Lagos and I was like seriously?? How did that happen??"
He further explained how the phrase 'Mad oh' was a theme given to an event him and his team organised in 30 August, 2019, that 'MAD' meant 'Making A Difference', and 'Mad oh' to them is a spoken word, phrase or sound that expresses sudden or strong feeling.
"Mad oh came out from this show called 'MAD', which means 'Making A Difference'. It happened last year on the 30th August, 2019."
